# What kind of device is a Marc?

A Marc is a video brochure, designed for mailing and handout campaigns.  
Unlike phones, laptops, or tablets, a Marc:

- Does not collect personal data
- Does not know who is using it
- Is not connected to apps, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, or cameras
- Is not a personal device; it behaves more like printed marketing material

 It simply plays video content and reports basic engagement (when it was opened and for how long).
